Thank goodness we finally got great weather for a ride! We've finished our first five rides - two left to go.
The schedule for the remainder of the merit badge is:
Sunday, November 15th: 35 miler. Meet at Hunt Valley Elementary school at 8:00 sharp!
Tuesday, December 1st: Meet at 6:30 PM (before Troop Meeting) to plan for our 50 miler.
Sunday December 6th: 50 miler! We'll meet early (7:30) so we can be sure to finish before it is dark.
For each ride, bring your merit badge workbook, updated with notes from the last ride. Also ensure your bike is maintained and tires have proper air pressure, that you bring your helmet, bright clothing, water, trail snacks, clothing for inclement weather, and a spare tube and / or tube repair kit in case of a flat.
Adults (Scouters and non-Scouters) are invited to participate in all rides. We will also need support crew in the form of drivers, chase vehicles, safety monitors and alternate Merit Badge Counselors.
